1. Overview

Tattoodo helps tattoo artists grow their business by connecting them with qualified clients while minimizing time spent on social media and admin tasks. Our platform provides tools and exposure so artists can focus on their craft and increase their revenue.


2. Eligibility and Requirements

2.1 Professional Requirements

To ensure high standards for both artists and clients, Tattoodo artists must have:

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of full-time, professional tattooing experience
  • Current employment at a licensed tattoo studio
  • Valid licensing and certifications per local regulations
  • Compliance with all local health, safety, and legal requirements

Portfolio Standards:

  • A complete online portfolio (e.g., Instagram profile)
  • High-quality examples of line work, shading, coloring, and overall artistic skill
  • Experience with multiple tattoo styles

2.2 Application Process

  • Applications go through a quality review based on your portfolio.
  • Selected artists are contacted by a Tattoodo representative.
  • Limited spots help maintain service quality and client experience.

3. Commission Structure

3.1 Standard Commission

  • A one-time 20% commission is charged on the first appointment for each new client booked through Tattoodo.
  • Commissions are only charged after the appointment has taken place. At the end of each month, you’ll receive an invoice for any completed first appointments from that month.
  • After the first appointment, you keep 100% of any future revenue from that client.

3.2 No-Commission Situations

No commission applies if the client:

  • Is already on your Tattoodo Client list or was previously imported to it.
  • Confirms prior appointments with you.
  • Books through your Tattoodo booking link

3.3 Off-Platform Bookings and Commission

  • If we confirm that a booking or transaction originally initiated on Tattoodo is completed outside of our platform, a $75 commission fee will be applied to the artist's account. This fee is intended to cover the loss of platform services, including client support, secure transactions, and the opportunity for clients to leave reviews.

3.4 Client Service Fee

  • A service fee of £2.95 (UK) or $3.95 (US) applies to all client transactions.
  • This fee is paid by the client and covers payment processing and platform support.
  • The service fee is automatically added to the client’s total payment amount.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

4.1 Artist Cancellations

  • If an artist must cancel due to an emergency, notify the client and Tattoodo ASAP.
  • The client receives a full deposit refund, covered by the artist.
  • Repeated cancellations may result in account review.

4.2 Client Cancellations

  • Client cancellation policies are set by each artist and displayed in their profile FAQ.
  • Artists should communicate this policy to clients after booking.
  • If no specific policy is set, the following Standard Cancellation Policy applies:

Standard Cancellation Policy:

  • Deposits are fully refundable if canceled with 48+ hours notice.
  • Deposits are non-refundable if canceled with less than 48 hours notice.
  • Cancellations must be made through Tattoodo.

4.3 Deposit Disputes

  • Deposit disputes are handled through Tattoodo’s support system.
  • Decisions are based on provided evidence and platform policies.
  • Tattoodo reserves final decision rights on all disputes.

5. Partner Obligations

5.1 Response Time and Communication

  • Respond to new booking requests within 48 hours.
  • Provide clear pricing and availability.
  • Maintain an inbox with no more than 8 unattended messages.
  • Keep all client communication within Tattoodo.

5.2 Bookings and Payments

  • Honor all confirmed bookings.
  • Process all deposits through Tattoodo’s payment system.
  • Register consultations and appointments through the platform.

5.3 Off-Platform Activity Restrictions

Artists may not:

  • Arrange off-platform bookings with clients initially sourced on Tattoodo.
  • Request clients contact them outside Tattoodo’s messaging before booking.
  • Cancel platform bookings to rebook outside Tattoodo.
  • Include external booking links or process payments outside Tattoodo.

5.4 Client Information and Privacy

Artists may:

  • Request essential information for legal or compliance purposes.
  • Confirm contact details after booking for appointment-related communication.

Artists may not:

  • Use client information for marketing or external mailing lists.
  • Share or sell client contact details or request unnecessary personal information before booking confirmation.

5.5 Profile Management

  • Keep your portfolio, pricing, and availability current.
  • Tattoodo may update profiles for platform consistency, notifying artists of any changes, who can request edits if needed.

6. Professional Conduct and Communication Standards

6.1 Required Conduct

  • All Tattoodo communication must be professional, respectful, and tattoo-related.

6.2 Prohibited Behavior

The following behaviors result in immediate review and possible account termination:

  • Harassment or discrimination
  • Inappropriate advances or sexual content
  • Hate speech or prejudiced remarks
  • Religious or political discussions
  • Aggressive or threatening communication
  • Sharing personal contact information for non-business purposes

6.3 Zero Tolerance Policy

  • Tattoodo maintains a strict no-tolerance policy for harassment and discrimination.
  • Confirmed violations lead to immediate account termination.

7. Marketing and Promotions

7.1 Marketing Campaigns

Partners may participate in Tattoodo marketing campaigns, including:

  • Promotional vouchers and discount codes
  • Featured artist spotlights
  • Instagram features and collaborations
  • Newsletter features
  • Seasonal campaigns

7.2 Campaign Terms

  • Participation in marketing campaigns is voluntary.
  • Campaign-specific terms, including commission arrangements, will be communicated for each promotion.
  • Tattoodo will specify any promotional discounts and how they will be covered.
  • Campaign periods and promotional terms will be clearly defined for each initiative.

7.3 Instagram Features

To be eligible for Tattoodo Instagram features, artists must:

  • Add their Tattoodo profile link to their Instagram bio.
  • Use only the Tattoodo profile link for client bookings.
  • Maintain an active Tattoodo profile.

8. Account Status and Termination

8.1 Grounds for Account Review

Accounts may be reviewed for:

  • Extended inactivity on the platform
  • Consistent unresponsiveness to client requests
  • Low performance or low conversion rates
  • Violations of Tattoodo’s terms
  • Unprofessional conduct

8.2 Account Actions

Depending on issue severity and frequency, Tattoodo may:

  • Issue warnings and provide guidance for improvement.
  • Temporarily restrict account features.
  • Suspend or terminate the partnership.

Artists are notified of any actions and may have the chance to address concerns.

8.3 Platform Monitoring

Tattoodo may monitor communications to:

  • Ensure compliance with guidelines.
  • Support user safety.
  • Maintain service quality.

9. Legal Terms

9.1 Limitation of Liability

Tattoodo is not liable for any damages, whether direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential, resulting from participation in the partnership.

9.2 Governing Law

These terms are governed by Danish law.

9.3 Modifications

Tattoodo may modify these terms as needed. Significant changes will be communicated to partners in advance.
