Platform fee
Every booking includes a flat platform fee ($10 USD / £8 GBP). This replaces monthly subscription fees and covers all the tools, payment processing, and continuous updates that help you book more clients and grow your business.
It also fuels the Artist Rewards Program, which gives you lower commission rates and exclusive perks as you grow.
How it works
- Paid by the client by default: Clients pay the fee automatically during checkout — no setup needed.
- You have full control: You can choose to split or cover the fee yourself in your payment settings
- No surprises: The fee is clearly displayed during the booking.
What's Included
The platform fee covers everything that powers your business on Tattoodo:
- Dispute Handling & Protection: If a client disputes a payment, requests a refund, or cancels unexpectedly, our team takes care of it. We manage communication with the client and payment provider, present evidence on your behalf, and work to ensure you’re treated fairly.
- Secure Payment Processing: Accept all major cards, Apple Pay, and Klarna with no extra fees.
- Automated Reminders & Confirmations: Reduce no-shows with automatic confirmations and 24-hour reminders.
- Verified Reviews: Get more verified reviews to attract new clients and boost visibility.
- Platform Improvements: Ongoing updates and new features to help you grow faster.
- Rewards & Commission Benefits: Keeps the Artist Rewards Program running and enables your commission savings.
Important note
If a booking is marked “Already Paid,” the platform fee is skipped (since no payment is processed via Tattoodo). In those cases:
- You lose the dispute protection and some of the backing our platform provides.
- That booking won’t count toward your Artist Rewards level or perks.
To make sure every booking strengthens your profile and offers protection, ask clients to pay their deposit through Tattoodo.
Your choice
Want to make it easier for clients?
- Cover the platform fee yourself making pricing simpler for clients.
- Split it sharing a small portion so clients still contribute.
You can edit this in your settings. Either way — paid bookings count toward your Artist Rewards progress, and you stay covered and protected.
